The student will be introduced to the single, multi-degrees of freedom or continuous mathematical models used to represent the dynamic behavior of structural structures and the patterns and methods for solving mathematical equations resulting from these models. In addition to studying the origin of earthquakes and the mechanism of transmission of seismic agitation to structural structures and the rules of analysis and design of these structures to resist seismic actions.
