The network security course aims to (defining security problems in computer networks and the technologies and tools used to solve these problems, whether by preventing or detecting intrusions) to provide a strong foundation for students to understand and analyze wired and wireless network security and information topics, as it will include an introduction to network-level attacks and various defense mechanisms. Students will learn to launch and defend against attacks using a variety of software tools Students will learn how to configure, attack and defend wireless networks The course will focus on security at the host level, where students will learn to attack and defend common network services such as DNS, HTTP, and SQL and FTP.
