The directorate of student activities held the first musical appreciation session entitled “Feirouz Sings for the Greatest Composers” delivered by the music club supervisor, Elias Samaan, with the participation of pharmacy student, Sulaf Zarour at the university auditorium. The event was on 06/01/2021 with the attendance of students, academic and administrative staff members. The difference between the musical styles in composing and dealing with the poetic text in Feirouz songs of the following composers (Assi Rahbani- Philemon Wehbe – Zaki Nassif) was clarified. In addition to explaining the method a listener is able to distinguish and figure out the composer of the song via special features in the melody; all through lyrical supporting samples.
