This course focuses on international transactions that involve a physical movement of goods or of factors of production (migration, foreign direct investment). Three issues are explored: the gains from trade, the pattern of trade and the presence of protection. It also emphasizes the role of international organizations (European Union, World Trade Organization) in international trade.
