Fixed Prothodontics 1

A historical overview of the science of fixed prosthodontics, the anatomy and physiology of the maxillary complex, and the examination of the fixed prosthodontics patient. It also explains the patient's previous treatment settings and principles of preparation.

The course introduces students to the principles of preparing a single tooth and how to perform the various types of prosthetic treatments that are performed on it in the laboratory and clinically.
Single tooth prosthesis and preparation tools, dental preparation in particular, root wedge-assisted tooth restoration, impression and wax model making, veneering, casting and new techniques, finishing, polishing and gluing.
