This course aims to acquaint the student of the Robotics Engineering Department with the basic concepts of the properties and characteristics of sensors and sensors of various analogue and digital types (liquid level-temperature-flow-pressure-light-force-torque-position-velocity-acceleration....) and their applications in industrial control systems. It also aims to study the working principles of digital optical encoders to control speed, direction and position in actuator control systems in general, and stepper and servo motors in particular, and topics related to control valve selection, transmitter and filtering, with practical applied studies.
