Methodologies and Techniques of Special Occupational Therapy

 

This course consists of the concepts, assessment and procedures used in occupational therapy in special medical conditions, namely, musculoskeletal injuries, especially after wrist and hand surgeries, with an expansion of the rehabilitation procedures of the hand from assessment, treatment and setting of therapeutic goals and functional assistance, either active, passive, functional or aiding tools or other procedures as well as the principles of occupational therapy for patients with a trauma in the brain from the assessment, planning and treatment to improve their activities. It also includes practical training on orthotics and alopecia used in upper extremities in terms of classification and therapeutic goal and how to install and assess their use and problems in general.
