Development and Rehabilitation Science

 

This course includes the principles of clinical psychology and the student is introduced to the concept of clinical psychology, its origin, development, models, domains, hypotheses, the diagnosis and classification of mental and behavioral disorders and entries of psychological counseling; it also includes the principles and basics of children neuropsychology. The approach of children is taught in terms of awareness, cognition, behavioral, awareness and cognition disorders, delay in spiritual motor development, neurological injuries that affect the development of brain and neuropsychological conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, cerebral hemorrhage, tumors, genetic diseases, etc. The course also contains a brief of pediatrics, an approach to common children diseases as well as sensory, motor, psychological and neurological development. Also an introduction to the rehabilitation science of these injuries and ways of dealing with them from a functional perspective.
