an activity on the occasion of The World Antimicrobial Awareness Week entitled "Spread Awareness and Contribute in Stopping Microbial Resistance to Medicine"

Based on its vision for building a model of strategic partnerships with various societal sectors, including organizations and Civil Society grassroots groups, Manara University in collaboration with WHO and the Syrian Youth Council organized an activity on the occasion of The World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. The activity was entitled "Spread Awareness and Contribute in Stopping Microbial Resistance to Medicine ". It included a presentation of a number of interactive media and medical awareness raising lectures which aim at enhancing social awareness on antibiotic consumption. Among the participants were Dr. Kinda Darwich, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Hamza Hasan, the Director of WHO office in the coastal area, and Professor Haitham Yazji, Dr. Sana'a Ghanim and Dr. Shaza Salloum representing the medical and pharmaceutical associations in Latakia, respectively. The activity was concluded by honouring all the participants.
