The students of the course (Instrumental Analysis) visited the Higher Institute of Environmental Research – Chemistry Department at Tishreen University. The field trip was under the supervision of Dr. Dima Al Diab, and Khalil Al Abid, Faculty members at the Faculty of Pharmacy. 

During the field trip at the institute, students were introduced to the following tools and techniques and they conducted some experiments: 

1- Atomic absorption spectroscopy (flame –graphite) (AAS).

2- Ion-exchange chromatography.

3- High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC(.

4- Gas chromatography (GC).

5- Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

6- Amprometric Volt (AV).
