Computer Architecture 2

The course Computer Architecture / 2 / aims to address microcomputer systems (the Von Neumann and Harvard architecture), instruction processing, fetch and execution cycles, identifying processor architecture. Memory connectivity: basic concepts, timelines for read and write cycles, deconstruction techniques, cache design, and virtual memory, as well as definition of parallel processor architectures and their cache consistency protocols Introduction to assembly language programming: basic commands, program segment, registers, and memory Instructions Control transfer; arithmetic instructions, logical instructions; rotation instructions, shift instructions, interrupts, processor control instructions, addressing patterns.
