Manara university library aims to support the process of education and scientific research by providing information services to beneficiaries in a way that enables them to access the required information with minimal time and effort. Beneficiaries: Faculty members. Members of the technical body. Members of the governing body. Students of Manara University.
Sources: The library of Manara University includes a rich collection of about 5,500 sources in Arabic and foreign languages. The sources range from paper sources (references, dictionaries, books, magazines), to electronic sources. The sources vary in terms of their competence and topics to include the faculties and departments located at the university, namely: dentistry, pharmacy and Health Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Performing Arts. In addition to other subjects including: philosophy and psychology, sociology, history and geography, music, design, Arabic and international novels. There are computers for the beneficiaries, in addition, the internet service is free within the library
Library system: The library uses the automated system (Koha) to manage lending operations and input and extract data related to sources and beneficiaries. The library follows the system of open shelves so that everyone can see the sources, which are arranged according to the specializations, and follow the Dewey Decimal System (DDC) in their classification. The library is provided every semester with resources that support the needs of colleges within the University, and gifts of books and references are provided to the library by beneficiaries or visitors to the University.
Library rules and instructions: It is strictly forbidden : 1.Reserve a chair only for the student who is present within the library. 2.Place personal items in the library while taking the test. 3.Leaving devices (mobile - personal computer) in electrical sockets without the presence of their owner within the library. 4.Gathering during the study of a maximum of three people. 5.Use games both on computers and on personal devices. 6.Issuing noise, even if it was for the purpose of studying, and alerting the student twice by the competent employee, and work is being done to expel the offending student from the library. 7.In case of violation of any of the previous instructions and failure to respond to the instructions of the library staff, the student is denied entry to the library until the end of the semester, after which a list of disadvantaged students is issued within the bulletin board.
The library is open during official business hours from Saturday to Tuesday.
