As part of the EU project “Designing, Training and Marketing in Handcrafts in Jordan and Syria” (HANDS) Project Erasmus+ , Manara University organized a training workshop, entitled “Introducing Traditional Handicrafts in A Modern Style in The Wall Paintings”. The workshop aimed at establishing a modernized model of wall paintings and integrating traditional handcrafts with the modern schools of internal design and furniture. The workshop achieved the main goals of the project through the use of modern techniques and materials to revive traditional handcraft industry, such as the use of Plexiglass sheets, engraving and cutting using Laser Cutter Machine and CNC in the HANDS’ Lab at Manara University. At the end of the workshop, the works were displayed and certificates of participation were awarded to the participants.
