Manara University Organize a workshop for the students and graduates of Occupational Therapy Departmen in collaboration with Amal for People with Disabilities, Italian Armadella and Unimore University

Manara University, in collaboration with Amal for People with Disabilities, Italian Armadella Organisation and Unimore University, a workshop for the fourth year students and graduates of Occupational Therapy Department on Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance CO_OP Approach and how to utilize this approach, which depends on problem solving techniques, in improving occupational performance .

The training was provided by Professor Barbara Volta of Unimore University, assisted by Professor Ghayad Darwish, Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Manara University. The workshop lasted for 5 days and consisted of a theoretical part that focused on presenting the major principles of the approach and how to use it. In addition to that, a number of clinical cases were received in the Occupational therapy laboratory, and were assessed by the teachers and the students of the department, and later discussed in order to determine the treatment goals. The patients will be reexamined and reassessed later by the Head of the Department and the students in order to carry out the intervention procedures and monitor the results. The workshop included Q&A sessions on various aspects of Occupational Therapy between Professor Barbara Volta and the fresh graduates.
