Manara University organized a workshop on manufacturing upper limbs functional splints in collaboration with Unimore University, Armadella and Amaal organizations

In collaboration with Unimore University, Armadella and Amaal organizations, Manara University represented by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy, organized a workshop on manufacturing upper limbs functional splints.

The training was provided by Professor Francesco Romagnoli of Unimore University, specialist in hand injuries and rehabilitation of these injuries, assisted by Dr. Ghaiyad Darwish, head of the department of Occupational Therapy at Manara University.

The workshop lasted for four days and included a theoretical lecture on the mechanisms hand splintsm the most common types of splints and the necessary tools. After that, the material and necessary tools were distributed to the students who used them to make a number of functional upper limb splints that can be used to resolve certain injuries. In addition to that, the trainers and the students held fruitful discussions about some clinical cases in order to prescribe the best type of functional splints for each case.
