Manara University organized a training program for the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy in cooperation with Ibn Al-Haytham Pharmaceutical Company

In light of its goals that aim at preparing distinguished cadres who are equipped with scientific knowledge and practical experience that would enable them to efficiently enter the job market, Manara University organized an outdoor training program for the top students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The beginning was with Ibn Al-Haytham Pharmaceutical Company in Lattakia.  

Throughout the Summer Semester, the students participated in a comprehensive training plan on the production process of various types of pharmaceutical products in different sections of the company, such as the water treatment and purification section, where water is purified so that it becomes suitable for pharmaceutical products, raw material stores, packaging material stores, medicine stores, and quality assurance department. The training included the steps of testing the final products, raw material, packaging material, and water tests in physics and chemistry laboratories. The students were also introduced to the steps of weighting, preparation, flocculation, compression, and coating, using suitable machines and equipment, and how to operate them in the department of tablet production.
During the final day of the program, having passed the written test, the students were presented with training certificates, attested by the factory administration represented by the General Manager, Dr. Khaldoon Kayali, and the Manager of Quality Assurance, Dr. Zeina Salim. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Kinda Darwish, attended and supervised the whole program.
Manara University expresses its gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable contribution of Ibn Al-Haytham company in training the students, hoping for more cooperation in future training programs and other academic and research activities.
